Pin Pop Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026
Pin Pop ("the game") is made by Betelgeuse Studio LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be short and readable. If anything is unclear, write to us at hello@betelgeuse.studio.
The short version
- No accounts. You never sign up, log in or give us your e-mail, phone number or real name.
- Your progress stays on your device. Levels, coins, skins and settings are saved locally.
- No online features of our own. Pin Pop has no leaderboards, chat or game server, and it sends nothing to us.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, the game asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice later.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own.
1. Information stored on your device
The game keeps one save file on your device. It contains your progress (the levels you have unlocked, your coins, the ball skins you own and the one you picked, and which tips you have already seen), your settings (sound and vibration), and whether you bought Remove Ads.
This file is never sent to us: we have no server and no copy of it. Like other app data, it may be included in your device's own backups, depending on your device settings. Deleting the game erases it.
2. Information we do not collect
The game does not ask for or access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar or files. It has no accounts, chat, social login, leaderboards or friend lists. We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or attribution services.
Depending on your device settings, Apple or Google may give us crash reports and aggregated statistics about the game (for example, how many people installed it). These reach us without your name or contact details.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and shows full-screen ads from Google AdMob now and then, only between levels: never while you play, never in the first few levels, and not after every level.
To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google and its partners may collect information from your device, such as an advertising identifier (the Android advertising ID, or on iOS an identifier that is unique to this app's developer), your IP address and approximate location derived from it, your device model and operating system, and how you interact with ads.
- Consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland (and in other places where the law requires it), the game shows Google's consent form before any ad is requested. You can accept, refuse or choose specific purposes. If you refuse personalised ads, you may still see non-personalised ads.
- Change your mind at any time in Settings → Privacy Settings (the button appears wherever a choice is required).
- On iOS, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is only shared if you allow tracking when iOS asks. If you are not asked, or you choose "Ask App Not to Track", it is not shared. You can change this at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Remove Ads. The Remove Ads purchase stops the game from showing ads, for good.
Google's use of this information is described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" (https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
4. In-app purchase
The game offers one optional one-time purchase: Remove Ads. Payments are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive your name, e-mail, card or billing details. The store only tells the game whether you own Remove Ads, so it can turn ads off and restore your purchase on a new device. The game checks this when it starts, and you can also tap Settings → Restore Purchases.
5. Device permissions
- Internet and network state (Android): to load ads and talk to the app store.
- Vibrate (Android): for haptic feedback while you play. You can turn vibration off in Settings.
- Advertising ID (Android, added by Google's ads SDK): lets Google use your device's advertising ID, subject to your consent and device settings.
- Billing (Android, added by Google Play's billing library): lets you buy Remove Ads.
6. Children
Pin Pop is a family-friendly puzzle game suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). The game itself does not collect personal information from anyone, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you have a concern, contact us.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the data held about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
- We hold no data about you. Your progress lives on your device: uninstall the game to erase it.
- Ads: change your consent in Settings → Privacy Settings, or use your device's ad and tracking settings. For data Google holds, see Google's privacy controls.
- Purchases: your purchase history is held by Apple or Google.
We do not sell or share your personal information for money, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising ourselves. If you have a question or a request, e-mail us and we will help.
8. Security
Because the game sends nothing to us, there is no game data of yours on our side to protect. Connections made by Google's ads SDK and by the app stores are handled under their own security practices.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for important changes, tell you in the game or in the store listing before the changes apply.
