Question 1

How do I turn on the Rewritr keyboard?

Accepted Answer

Open Settings, go to General, Keyboard, Keyboards, then Add New Keyboard and choose Rewritr. To use AI rewrites, open the Rewritr entry and turn on Allow Full Access. Then switch to Rewritr with the globe key in any text field.

Question 2

Why does Rewritr need Full Access?

Accepted Answer

iOS only lets a keyboard reach the network with Full Access. Rewritr needs it for one thing: sending the text you explicitly ask it to rewrite. Typing, autocomplete and suggestions work without it.

Question 3

Is what I type sent anywhere?

Accepted Answer

No. Autocomplete and next-word suggestions run on your iPhone. Text is only sent when you tap a rewrite action, and only the selected text or the paragraph around your cursor, together with your chosen instruction and style.

Question 4

What can Rewritr do?

Accepted Answer

Correct fixes spelling and grammar while keeping your words. Polish makes text read better. Shorten gets to the point. Or type your own instruction. Choose a writing style and tone in the app, and undo a rewrite with one tap.

Question 5

Which languages are supported?

Accepted Answer

English with a QWERTY layout and French with an AZERTY layout. Pick your language in the Rewritr app under Customize, Keyboard.

Question 6

Does Rewritr work in every app?

Accepted Answer

It works in most text fields. iOS always switches to the system keyboard for passwords and other secure fields, and a few apps don't allow third-party keyboards.

Question 7

What does Rewritr Pro include?

Accepted Answer

500 AI rewrites each month, custom prompts, advanced styles and saved presets. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be managed in your Apple ID settings.
